The USS Ronald Reagan Ships Out

On Wednesday, 4 January 2006, the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier Ronald Reagan departed from the Naval Air Station North Island at Coronado, California on its maiden deployment. According to NBC News San Diego, the majority of the sailors on board have never deployed and, in fact, it will be the executive officer’s first deployment as a commanding officer.
